Awards and Honors

2004 - An Outcome registry receives the 2004 Innovation Award from the Department of Health and Human Services.

2005 – Health and Human Services Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) selects Outcome as one of the 13 research (DEcIDE) centers to conduct accelerated practical studies about the outcomes, comparative clinical effectiveness, safety, and appropriateness of health care items and services.

2006/2007 – Outcome leads the development of the AHRQ reference handbook, Health and Human Services Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) The purpose of the handbook, released in May 2007, is to serve as a reference for the design, use, and evaluation of patient registries.

2007 - An Outcome registry receives the 2007 eHealth Initiative Award.

2008 - On April 1, 2008, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approved the issuance patent number 7,353,238, "Apparatus and methods for determining and processing medical outcomes” that covers several innovative aspects of our industry-leading Outcome System®. 

2009 - Outcome is named a European Medicine Agency PROTECT-EU partner and ENCePP research center to serve as a major resource for enabling the commission and implementation of PASS.

2010 - Outcome is awarded the task order to design and develop a Registry of Patient Registries (RoPR) database for AHRQ.

2010 - The 2nd edition of the AHRQ guide 'Registries for Evaluating Patient Outcomes: A User's Guide' is published.
