Chart Abstraction

Our abstraction teams are highly professional and consider site satisfaction a key component of each site visit. We offer full management services, beginning with hiring a team with subject matter expertise and training the chart abstractors on how to visit sites, review charts, and enter data according to the study protocol. We also manage travel, logistics, and schedule optimization, and we provide continuing education and mentorship throughout the study to ensure high quality data. Data entered by chart abstractors is subject to all of the rigorous real-time data quality checks used on any data entered into the system. Once data is in the database, our on-site data management team reviews data and posts data queries to the abstraction team to ensure data integrity. Our abstractors abstract more than 20,000 patient records each year.
