Follow-up Surveys

For long-term registries and studies in which patients may not return to the sites for continued care (e.g., surgery patients), follow-up surveys can be conducted using IVRS, computer assisted interviews (CAI), or the patient portal in which a high level of follow-up can be routinely achieved. The CAI method of collecting follow-up data is ideal for certain populations, such as the elderly, for whom online reporting is impractical.
