National Stroke Quality Improvement Program Passes the Million Mark
The American Heart Association'sGet With The GuidelinesSM-Stroke program reached a major milestone last week, as participating hospitals entered the one millionth stroke patient record into the program's database. "The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association are delighted to surpass the one million patient mark with Get With The Guidelines-Stroke," said Lee Schwamm, M.D., volunteer chairman of the national Get With The Guidelines steering committee.

HITSP Begins Harmonization Process for Use of Electronic Health Records in Clinical Research
The Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP), a cooperative partnership between the public and private sectors that works to ensure the interoperability of electronic health records (EHRs) in the United States, has begun work to identify global standards to support “core research data element exchange,” specifically, a common set of information that can readily be exchanged between EHRs and clinical research systems.

Outcome and the American College of Rheumatology Partner in Interoperability Demonstration at HIMSS 2008
Outcome announced today that the Company will take part in an interoperability demonstration with the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), Allscripts, and Greenway Medical at the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society Annual Conference and Exhibition (HIMSS). The interoperability demonstration will show how the collection of data at a single source for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) eliminates the need for physicians and staff to re-enter data into other applications, thereby reducing data errors and saving care providers valuable time. HIMSS 2008 will be held in Orlando, Florida, from February 24 – February 28, 2008.
