Outcome announced that for the fifth year the company has completed IHE Connectathon testing and will be participating in the Interoperability Showcase at the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society Annual Conference and Exhibition (HIMSS). Outcome will be demonstrating an expanded set of interoperability use cases that link Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems using Outcome™ Connect to a variety of data recipients, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). New study indicates that even delayed treatment with oseltamivir improves survival in patients infected with avian influenza (H5N1)
A study published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases indicates that treatment with oseltamivir significantly reduces mortality in patients withinfluenza A/H5N1, or ‘bird flu’, even when given late in the course of illness.
