New Jersey Acute Stroke Registry (NJASR)

With the approval of the New Jersey Stroke Registry Regulations, starting with first quarter 2010 data submissions, all hospitals designated as Primary or Comprehensive Stroke Centers in New Jersey are required to submit data to the New Jersey Acute Stroke Registry (NJASR).

Outcome offers an easy way to fulfill this requirement by providing an extension to the Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Patient Management Tool®. The American Heart Association's (AHA) Get With The Guidelines registry is a national quality improvement registry with 2000+ hospitals and more than 2 million patient records.

Benefits of choosing the Outcome Patient Management Tool®:
• Easy submission of quarterly NJASR data to the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services
• Participation in Get With The Guidelines Stroke with an opportunity to achieve American Heart Association recognition awards
• Additional option of collecting data for Joint Commission Primary Stroke Certification and/or data submission of Stroke Core Measures to The Joint Commission
• Optional reporting of stroke quality measures to CMS for neurologists and physicians seeking to receive their 0.5% bonus payments for the Medicare PQRS (Physician Quality Reporting System - formerly PQRI)

Data Submission for NJASR:
The transmission of data for NJASR occurs on a quarterly basis and is conducted by Outcome on your behalf. The NJ Department of Health allows a 45 day lag period for reporting. Please contact your representative at the NJ Department of Health for further information on state regulations.

Should you choose to have your data submitted via Outcome, please contact our Help Desk for the necessary agreements, 1-888-526-6700 or support@outcome.com.
