Get With The Guidelines® Stroke

The Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke (Get With The Guidelines-S) program is the American Heart Association’s (AHA) in-hospital process for continuous quality improvement to improve stroke patient treatment and prevent future hospitalizations. The Get With The Guidelines-S PMT® system focuses on care team protocols to ensure that patients are treated and discharged on appropriate medications and with risk modification counseling.

As the largest stroke registry in the United States, the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke program is used in more than 1,900 U.S. hospitals and users can benchmark their data with more than 1,600,000 patients.

Get With The Guidelines-S PMT is also available as an integrated solution for The Joint Commission accreditation and CMS reimbursement for the Stroke Core Measure to provide a comprehensive quality improvement and certification solution. It is also available as an integrated solution for hospitals participating in the Paul Coverdell stroke registries in many states.
