Experience
We offer inpatient and outpatient quality improvement programs with access to more than 100 national quality measures and run QI programs in specific therapeutic areas, including bone health, diabetes, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and stroke. We partner with physician, hospital, consumer, and government organizations, (such as American Heart Association, Massachusetts Hospital Association, American College of Rheumatology, American Association of Neurological Associations, American Society of Plastic Surgeons and many others) to ensure our programs are relevant, useful, and effective in improving the quality of care in your practice and hospital. We partner with many providers and healthcare organizations, specialty associations, hospital associations, pharmacist associations, managed care organizations, state departments of public health, Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs), and government agencies. In fact, nearly 2,000 healthcare organizations, including every major medical center in the U.S., are our direct customers. We are also actively involved in supporting federal initiatives in regulating and promoting outcomes research. Outcome is an AHRQ DEcIDE Research Center and conducts accelerated practice studies about the outcomes, comparative clinical effectiveness, safety, and appropriateness of healthcare items and services, as a component of AHRQ’s Effective Health Care initiative. Through Outcome’s role as a DEcIDE Center, the company was awarded the task order “Registries for Evaluating Patient Outcomes,” a project which led Outcome’s Drs Richard Gliklich and Nancy Dreyer as the principal investigators and senior editors to develop the landmark federal handbook “Registries for Evaluating Patient Outcomes: A User’s Guide,” released in May 2007. |
