Joint Commission and CMS Transmission
Outcome is a Joint Commission and CMS vendor, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions to meet accreditation, certification, and reimbursement needs of healthcare facilities. Outcome has successfully met the technical requirements and is approved to transmit data for the following ORYX® core measure sets: Acute Myocardial Infarction, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Perinatal Care, SCIP, Stroke, Emergency Department, Immunization, Tobacco Treatment, Substance Use, and Outpatient Measures.
With thorough data quality reviews, Outcome’s programs help hospitals and practices identify and correct data issues before submission deadlines, allowing on-time transmission of clean, accurate data. Our knowledgeable Help Desk will answer your questions and provide you with the training and support needed to enter data accurately to meet transmission deadlines.
Hospitals and practices can transmit data to the QIO Clinical Warehouse through the same tools used to collect Joint Commission data. In fact, 100% of the hospitals using Outcome as their Joint Commission vendor also use the system to fulfill CMS submissions. As the Joint Commission and CMS update measures and introduce new sets, we update our data collection forms and measures to reflect the most current specifications.
Transmitting Joint Commission core measure and non-core measure data and CMS data for institutions across the country, our web-based system offers value-added features and specialized reporting. Organizations using Outcome’s Joint Commission and CMS programs range from large, multi-hospital health systems, to small acute care facilities. The advanced technology of the Outcome System® can reduce costs by as much as 50%, compared to competing systems.
**This process is an outline of the transmission process for the core measures. Non-core measures are transmitted based on the CMS requirements for each program and may vary from the core measures transmission process.
